The “history” of Presidents for Kids
At Presidents for Kids, we believe history shouldn’t feel like homework. It should feel like an adventure—a cross between a time machine, a treasure hunt, and the best bedtime story ever told.
We’re here to bring U.S. presidential history to life for kids ages 5–10 through fun, screen-free content that sparks curiosity, encourages questions, and (shhh...) teaches a whole lot along the way.
The idea started with Dan Scudder, a history-loving dad who noticed something important: his kids didn’t connect with dusty textbooks or long lectures—but they loved wild stories, silly facts, and anything that felt like a discovery. So he created Presidents for Kids, a magazine packed with bite-sized bios, goofy illustrations, activities, and trivia that make America’s leaders feel more like real people and less like statue-worthy strangers.
Each issue is designed to:
Introduce one president in a fun, approachable way
Celebrate history’s surprising, funny, and inspiring moments
Give kids a deeper understanding of leadership, character, and change
Offer parents and educators a screen-free tool for learning at home
Whether your child is just discovering who the president is or already quoting the Constitution at the dinner table, Presidents for Kids is here to fuel their love of history—and maybe even shape a future leader or two.
Thanks for joining us on the journey. There’s a whole country to explore—one president at a time.
Why Parents Will Love Our Commitment to Fun (and Sneaky Learning)
We’re not messing around when it comes to quality—but we’re definitely messing around when it comes to fun. Here’s the scoop on why Presidents for Kids is the MVP of your family’s bookshelf:
Next-Level Coolness: Think shiny pages, eye-popping pictures, and a vibe so collectible your kids will trade them like Pokémon cards.
Parent-Approved Smarts: We’ve done the homework (literally) to make sure every story is legit, but we tell it in a way that won’t make your kid’s eyes glaze over.
Hands-On Hilarity: Coloring, trivia, and “what would YOU do?” questions that’ll have your kids acting like mini-presidents faster than you can say “Mount Rushmore.”
We’re your secret weapon for guilt-free fun that’s secretly educational. With Presidents for Kids, you’re not just dodging screen-time battles—you’re raising little history rockstars who think learning is the bee’s knees. Let’s make history the family adventure it was always meant to be!
